I was the child no one quite
knew what to do with.
I grew up in children's homes in Scotland. Different. Difficult to place. Carrying something that didn't have a name yet. I spent decades building businesses, losing businesses, winning Scottish Designer of the Year and watching it collapse — before I ever found the framework that made sense of all of it.
Over 30 years I trained with Native Americans in California, with Rinpoches in the mountains of Nepal, with Peruvian shamans in Peru. I hold certifications in psychology, advanced hypnotherapy, Reiki, Pranic Healing, meditation — and a master's in things science hasn't fully named yet. I've invested over £350,000 in my own training.
I didn't build the Spiritual Awakening Academy because it was a good business idea. I built it because I needed it to exist. Because I was that person — hiding gifts, not belonging anywhere, wondering if the ache would ever ease.
It did. And it can for you too — but not through toxic positivity or a six-step system. Through doing the actual work, with someone who has walked every part of this path and isn't going to dress it up.
I currently live as a digital nomad across Southeast Asia and beyond. I work because I love it. I rest because I've earned it. And I built this so the distance between where you are now and where you're capable of being is never just about money or access.
